My name is Jon Wetzel and I am the Owner and Operator of Lean for Everyone.
Prior to starting Lean for Everyone, I was interim President/Partner of Scented Pens . In addition, I was employed at Asterand plc for 8 years in various senior roles including Director of Lean Six Sigma and Director of Production.
During my time at Asterand, the company grew from sales of $100K to $22 million and was the top performing stock on the London Stock Exchange in 2008.

I've always had a start up and entrepreneurial mentality. Most of my previous jobs were either new start-ups or new departments within an existing company or institution. (Jon Wetzel Resume)
1987-1993 - Owned and operated Lawn Barber Lawn Care, which helped put me through college.
1993-1996 - I worked at both Wayne State University and University of Michigan in two start up labs.
1996-1998 - I worked at Specialty Labs in their new HIV testing center and at UCLA doing genetic testing. CAP and CLIA certified labs
1998-2000- I worked at OncorMed (Purchased by GeneLogic) in Gaithersburg, MD doing cutting edge gene expression analysis using Affymetrix GeneChip technology. We grew the department grew from 6 employees to 55 in under 8 months and became the flagship technology for the company.
2000-2001 - I worked at Rosetta Inpharmatics (Purchased by Merck) running their new production facility in Bothell, WA.
2001-2009 - I worked in Detroit, MI at Asterand as the Director of Lean Six Sigma. We started with a staff of about 18 people, no sales team and 1 investor. Over the course of 8 years it grew to having $22 million in sales and being #1 on the London Stock Exchange in 2008.
2001-2010 - My brother and I invented and patented 6899486 "Pen with a
scented housing" We also formed an LLC and created a company called
Scented Pens. We created the market for the scented pen and
later licensed it to several pen manufacturers.
2010-Current - I started "Lean for Everyone" to help teach new and small companies how to use Lean Six Sigma in their work place.
In my spare time, I'm an accomplished balloon artist and enjoy entertaining kids. In addition, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling and reading a good novel.
As a result of having such extensive experience in building and growing new businesses, I know how to
apply Lean to any start-up company. With that knowledge I can work with you and your staff to achieve more with less.
